Hi,

If a client is connected to an SSID, their blacklist time corresponds to the Blacklist timer in the Virtual AP.  If a client is NOT connected at the time, it corresponds to the ap ap-blacklist-time timer.  Please see the thread here:  https://community.arubanetworks.com/community-home/digestviewer/viewthread?MID=19122

We are trying to blacklist some clients, and we noticed that some of them are getting blacklisted permanently while others are only getting blacklisted for a limited time. Any idea on why that could be happening?

We made sure to reset blacklist time to 0 in the WLAN's virtual AP profiles but the result is still the same.

We also ran into the issue where blacklisting only works in CLI, we tried to blacklist using the GUI at first and it wasn't working, the devices were still connected although you could see them in the list. They also get assigned random (seeming) controller numbers in the GUI blacklist, 1-3 so far, any idea what those numbers mean?

I also learned to delete the client first to de-auth them then blacklist them, that allows for the blacklist to be permanent.
