    Can IAP-105 work as controller for AP-175p? Looking at the AP-175 datasheet, it mentions "Aruba InstantTM mode".

    No, that is not possible. You can create clusters of Instant APs if they run the same firmware version and all are Instant APs. If you have an IAP-105 and an IAP-175, you can cluster them together, for IAP-105 and AP-175 that is not possible. The AP-models require a separate controller.
