Clearpass installed, Management IP being rejected.

    This is my first ClearPass install ( in a lab for testing and familiarisation ). During the initial installation, it rejects a valid IP address. 
    oddly, it will accept the example one. 

    this is the cLABv VM.


    Why  ?

    6.9.13  to match a customer environment: The issue just went away after a period of time. Thank you for responding. this resolved itself. Thank you.

    It may not relate to your issue, but support for that version expired at the end of last month. The customer needs to move to 6.11.x or 6.12.x.

    In our case, we chose to builf a fresh configuration for our 6.12.2 deployment from 6.9.13 since we had a failed upgrade attempt to 6.10.x over a year ago. We prefer the rewritten Entra ID auth source in 6.12 compared to the Azure AD auth source in 6.11.
