    We have 2 - 7210 controllers with V6.3.1 OS in a master/slave setup with 275 AP225s.
I have just downloaded, setup a ESXi V6 computer and installed V6.5 Clearpass.
We have six schools, 3 VLANs and basic LDAP authentication and Guest portal page user
policies. The system is running pretty good right now.
I am about to connect Clearpass to the controller but have some questions.
Two main goals we would like with Clearpass; policy management of devices (mainly cell phones), OS and/or port and protocol policies for certain web content.
I have to setup two static IP addresses for Management and Data ports? Is that correct?
I understand Clearpass has a basic policy manager setup, what will happen to my existing setup once I connect Clearpass VM to controller? If things go wrong can I just shut down the new Clearpass VM and revert back?
Thank you in advance to all who take the time to reply.
Any other gotcha's or advice on setup is greatly appreciated.

Have you contacted your Aruba partner? There is some planning that has to be done before implementing ClearPass.

Partner quoted our district $15K to install / setup VM Clearpass - this did not include any hardware.

That sounds about right. It's a pretty involved change in a large environment like a school district since you have so many new authentication and policy options.
