    Hi Peter

As far as I know it's not possible to import csv to the Endpoints repository. But you have an option to import Endpoints with XML. If you export a few Endpoints as a template maybe you can utilize a script to build the needed XML file for import.

Another option is to import the endpoints from the csv to the Guest Device Repository under ClearPass Guest and utilize this source as your authentication source instead of the Endpoints repository.

With the Guest Device Repository you can also quite easily assign roles to the clients during the import.

If using the device repository, look at csv2api for a tool that will simplify the process of importing from the CSV.

In ClearPass Guest you have one repository for guest users, and one for the guest devices.

You can find it under Devices section in the left navigation.

In the MAC authentication Service you have to add the default authentication source Guest Device Repository as either authentication source or authorizatione source if you are usinf the [MAC Auth All] authentication method.

And one other solution is online via Aruba Solution Exchange, which creates an XML that can be imported from CSV or TSV.

When Aruba initially purchased Avenda, getting ClearPass, the Endpoints database was really the only option for MAC Authentication registration. Now there is the Guest Devices database or you can use an external database table as an auth source. We are currently using both those options.

We use the Guest Devices database for AirGroup devices and registrations that we expire annually.

We use external database tables (MSSQL cluster, in our cases) to register & manage MAC Auth devices that are more permanent.
