    Hello there,

yesterday I have successfully installed my first CX6000 series switch, which absolutely works like a charm.
Everything works fine, but I got the following warning message every 2 seconds in the switches log, which I cannot explain.

Event|2004|LOG_WARN|AMM|1/1|BPDU has wrong Protocol ID and version from port 49

Port 49 is the switches uplink to another site and it is connected to a stack of 5406Rzl2 switches. Both the CX6000 and the 5406 zl2 are configured to do mstp and both are running on an actual firmware.

Has anybody an idea how to fix this? Other switches, mostly Aruba 2530 and HP 1820 don't bother on the BPDU protocol versions...

    Best regards
    Alex

I had the same issue, due to mismatching vlan config on ports.
5406Rzl2 port needs to have the same vlans then the port on CX6000.
