I would expect the message to disappear automatically after some time, when Airwave polled the new commander. Does the standby have (the same) IP address? You might be able to trigger a 'Poll Now' on the standby to speed up things.

We have switch in stack ( that is one switch is commander and another is standby) and it is up but showing down in air wave and false alerts on the Airwave saying that " Switch is no longer in commander ,Polling new commander "
This error appear when the stack switch that is commander got rebooted and Standby became the new commander. .
