    Hello Kind Sirs,

Is there a way to disable an AP from broadcasting without moving it back to 'default' or another AP group?

I need a quick test where we can disable an AP and quickly re-enable it without rebooting.

    Appreciate your input.

    Thanks,

    Alex

Two ways you can do this on AOS 8.

    Method 1.

Use the "ap-name <ap-name>" configuration in CLI to add an "exclude-virtual-ap <profile>" AP name override to disable the target VAP. Remove the override when you want to enable the VAP.

    Method 2.

Add the AP to a new group without the target VAP added to the group.

Use the "ap-name <ap-name>" configuration in CLI to add ("virtual-ap <profile>") and remove the VAP ("no virtual-ap <profile>") at the device level.
