    We are replacing some old HPs with some new Aruba's and are getting the error above on the old switch. We have client passing out 10.1.100.250 as the default gateway, which is attached to VLAN 100 interface on switch A. So we want to remove the IP from switch A and add it to new switch B's VLAN 100.

    We were able to do this with another VLAN, but this one gives the error in the title when we try to set the IP route to the new switch for the subnet on that VLAN.

    Any ideas why it wont let me add the next hop to the new switch, but gives that error instead?

    What worked last time:

    removed IP from Switch A added same IP to switch B added route for subnet on that VLAN to switch A that points to switch B

    Internet/Router -> Switch A -> Switch B

    Eventually we'll retire switch A.

    NOTES: VLAN exists on both switches, and are tagged between links. Clients on this VLAN are currently routing to the internet correctly. 10.1.100.250 is the clients DFG.
