    Hi,

We are using a stack of 3 5520 HI at a customers place, and I try to find a way to know when the interface state has changed for the last time. We got a lot of cable plugged and some of them must be down, but didn't know for how long.

I can't look everyday to see if the ports are still down. On another customer, with Aruba AOS switches I was able to see it with a getMIB ifLastChange and get the information. I didn't find an equivalent in the 5520.

If you have an idea, I'm interested.

    Thanks in advance

    hi PL28

    display interface ge1/1/1

This wil show you the last time the interface went up.

If you want to known how long it was down

display logbuffer reverse | include 1/1/1

And look for up/down events in the logging.

If you your switch reboot the logging is gone, and the logging buffer is limited. If you want logging for longer periodes of time you need a external monitor server with syslog or SNMP, like IMC, Airwave, PRTG or some else product.
