    Hey everybody.

    I installed a new 6000 cx switch 52 port at a customer.
I installed a sfp transceiver J4859D (which is unsupported) in one of the sfp ports.
The switch is uplinked via fibre and the sfp.
The switch is also acting as a core switch for other switches in the same building.

    Everything is working excellent.

The issue is that I enabled all kinds of warnings and alarms in Aruba Central, and I get high CPU warning many times a day.
I can not figure out what is causing the high cpu warning.

Anybody have experience with high cpu on switches and figuring out what is causing that?

check the release notes for firmware version 10.10.1010, perhaps it'll address it.
You can also try these command on the switch to see what is causing it

    • top cpu
    • show system
    • show system resource-utilization

with CX switches, please ensure you are running the latest maintenance release.
    for 10.10.x it is 10.10.1030
the release notes mentions that the high CPU spike is resolved.

Release notes say:  Workaround: The spike is generally short-lived and can be ignored.

    Hi,

we have the same issue here with 3 Aruba 6100 on the last firmware 10.12.0006.

We have open a support ticket on aruba support, try they recommandations with spanning tree, loop protect... without significatives improvement.

You find a solution on our side ?

    Thank you.
