After assigning a static DNS server to the switch group settings I go back to switches tab and open the Edit Switch dialog, but there is no option for IP address. New here, what am I missing?

I'm surprised this question didn't receive an answer. I was just looking for the same thing myself!

I don't believe there is a way to do it under Organizational Groups. The setting allows for DHCP only.

You would need to go under the Global view, and set every switch individually under 'Devices' and 'Switches'.

You don't set the IP of the 'switch', but under 'Interfaces' and 'VLANs', you would set it for the Management VLAN.

Unfortunately, this results in a Configuration Local Override condition, which is what I was trying to get around. But that's minor...
