    6600ML-24XG 10GBE Layer3 Gigabit switch J9265-69001

    Hi, does anyone know a 10GBE transceiver that will work in the 6600 HPE switch?  There must be an FS module that works in this switch?

    I cant find any compatible from the HP list or on FS

    I have an fibre module and SFP+ cables but cannot find any 10Gbe Ethernet modules!

    The transceiver guide is, for some reason, silent on this despite the switch being listed in it, but the Quickspec (https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docLocale=en_US&docId=c04111706) answers the question:

    HP X132 10G SFP+ LC ER Transceiver J9153A
    HP X132 10G SFP+ LC LR Transceiver J9151A
    HP X132 10G SFP+ LC LRM Transceiver J9152A
    HP X132 10G SFP+ LC SR Transceiver J9150A

    FS equivalent for a J9151A would be their P/N 31581.

    Sorry, meant to specify RJ45 Copper 10GBe Transceivers.

    I have the J9150A for my optical uplink and these work perfect.  I now would like to convert some of the SFP ports to be able to use RJ45 10GBe Cat 6 cables for my local network, if this is possible?

    No supported module from what I can tell.  I'd normally suggest getting FS to send you a 10Gbase-T transceiver that reports itself as 10Gbase-SR, but that probably won't work here since, as far as I know, FS doesn't make a copper transceiver that has the extra hardware that will make a Procurve/Aruba switch think it's first party (and the E6600 went EOL before the "allow-unsupported-transceiver" command was introduced).

    FS are very good, I used the chat service and the said the same, no supported device.  However they emailed the next day (today) and said there is one module that could work:

    813874-B21 HPE BladeSystem c-Class Compatible 10GBASE-T SFP+ Copper RJ-45 30m Optical Transceiver Module - FS

    Its cheaper for me to buy a 10GBE RJ45 switch in this case, so wont end up having to try the module.
