HPE 1950-24G-2SFP+-2XGT JG960A POE not working

    Greetings Aruba Community, 

    I'm trying to activate POE on the JG960A, but i was unable to do so, on the GUI i get ports greyed out, on the CLI i get a message says POE is disabled. hope to get an answer. Best regards,

    The JG960A is a non-PoE model (link): HPE OfficeConnect 1950 switch with 24 1GbE ports, 2 SFP+ ports, and 2 10GbE ports.

    You would need the JG962A equivalent, which has PoE: HPE OfficeConnect 1950 switch with 24 1GbE, power-over-Ethernet-plus ports, 2 SFP+ ports, and 2 10GbE ports.

    The SKU JG960A (HPE OfficeConnect 1950 24G 2SFP+ 2XGT Switch) does not provide any PoE feature.

    Check the HPE OfficeConnect 1950 Switch Series QuickSpecs.

    SKUs providing PoE feature (PoE+):

    • HPE OfficeConnect 1950 24G 2SFP+ 2XGT PoE+ Switch (JG962A)
    • HPE OfficeConnect 1950 48G 2SFP+ 2XGT PoE+ Switch (JG963A)

    so what you're seeing is expected on the SKU you're working with.
