    Hi all,

    I have 2 of the HPE Aruba 2530 24G POE+ switches (J9773A). I want to connect them via a DAC cable however this model is not listed on the Aruba 2530 Switch Series - Option Parts page. I do see under the model specifications this remark: When using SFPs with this product, SFPs with revision B or later (Product number ends with the letter B or later, e.g., J4858B, J4859C) are required. Will a dac cable for a model Aruba 2530 48G 2SFP+ Switch (J9855A) also work for my switches? For example HPE X242 10G SFP+ to SFP+ 1 m DAC cable (J9281B).

    Hi the J9773A doesn't provide support for SFP+ interfaces (it doesn't accept SFP+ Transceivers, it accepts SFP Tranceivers running at 1Gbps instead), this also mean that it can't support any DAC cable (DAC generally works at 10Gbps at minimum so where SFP+ is supported then, most of the time, DACs are supported too).
