I found a solution for that. This problem occure on 1820 switches which has only https Admin Mode configured. if you have also http Admin Mode active the switch come up under the
http://xxx.xxx.xxx (IP Address) after the Firmware update to Version 2.15.
If the switch has only https Admin Mode configured and the WebGUI isn't reachable after the FW Update to 2.15 use small, thin tool with blunt ends (such as a paper clip), and push the reset Button in the front for at least 20 seconds until the orange fault/Locator LED starts to blink, then release the reset button and wait until the switch is rebootet.
If a network is connected with a DHCP Server the Switch uses this DHCP Server to get a IP Address, if now DHCP Server is available the Switch returns to it's default IP 192.168.1.1 after 2 Minutes.
After that you can connect to the switch with your browser under the
http://xxx.xxx.xxx (IP Address) link and reconfigure the Switch. The HP-1820 is alive again!

Subject: HPE OfficeConnect 1820 Switches - No more web Interface after update to PT.02.15
I run in exactly the same problem with two J9979A and one J9980A after updating the FW to 2.15 from 2.14 last night.
Switches are working but WebGUI isn't available.
One J9980A updated from 2.12 to 2.15 works fine and WebGUI was reachable after reboot of Firmware update.

Subject: HPE OfficeConnect 1820 Switches - No more web Interface after update to PT.02.15
I have updated two of several HPE OfficeConnect 1820 Switches with the newest Firmware PT.02.15 (from PT.02.12).
Both of them no longer provide HTTP(S) services, since the update, and thus are no longer manageable.
- The switches still reply to pings
- Port scans on the Switch IP address show no open ports at all.
- Besides that, they still appeared to work normally, according to their configurations.
Initially both still worked, besides the fact that we can't change their configuration.
About 36 hours after the update one of them (J9980A) stopped working:
- The switches still reply to pings
- Ethernet ports itself still work, attached devices show their connection as active, port LEDs flash green on traffic
- Other switches still show them as LLDP remote devices with their correct IP address
- But nothing is reachable besides that.
- Several restarts and factory resets didn't change anything.
Without a working web interface, I have no way of reverting the update or diagnose the problem.I just hope the other one already updated (J9979A) keeps working.
There are no VLANS configured.
