IAP505 with IAP 515

    Hi all,

    Please I need to add IAP 505 to IAP 515 but image for 515 is Draco and image for 505   is Gemini. will it be working normally?

    Depending on the Management you have to have some manual effort. If you use Aruba Central, it will update automatically.
    If you are using Instant with local Management, you have to update 505 to the same firmware level as the 515 are. Than you can add them to the cluster without any issue.

    To update the 505 you have to download the Firmware from https://asp.arubanetworks.com, bring the AP into another VLAN than the existing cluster, update the firmware and than you cann add this to the existing.

     505 already updated with ArubaInstant_Gemini_8.11.1.0_86591 and 515 updated with ArubaInstant_Draco_8.11.0.1_85785.  is there a deference between Gemini and Draco? 
    I didn't find Draco image related to 505.

    The difference is the Hardware Platform those APs are made of. No functional difference.

    Your AP505 and AP-515 should be running the same firmware. So if you want to use 8.11.1.x, then you need to ugrade AP-515 to that image.

    You can get the Instant firmwares from ASP. make sure that you disconnect your AP-505 and have only AP-515 active, then upgrade it to 8.11.1.x and finally power up the AP-505, it should join the instant cluster if the APs sharehe same VLAN/subnet.
