    HP 5900 IRF member suddenly reboots, saw this in the logs, what is Reboot Cause  :     DEVHandShakeReboot?

    Uptime is 0 weeks,1 day,4 hours,10 minutes

    Hi! the IRF stack Reboot cause "DEVHandShakeReboot" means "The reboot was caused by a device management handshake failure." if I were you I would start investigating in that direction...

    I think I've seen this when a new member joins the IRF in certain circumstances (maybe to match the master firmware version?). Maybe the one joining was a version too far away from the master (like when you add a factory new hardware) which means the IRF can't form. Check both boxes have the same firmware if this is a new install.

    Also worth a check of the quality of the physical links, i.e. any CRC or similar on the interfaces used for IRF.
