    Dear Experts,

One of my customer faced a scenario where a switch on access layer malfunctioned, caused certain segment of the network to freeze probably due to broadcast (loop) storm.

STP was running but since switch malfunctioned (sent for RMA) customer wants to know if there is any other possible way to block the broadcast on the upstream switch should it receive.

What are some ways that can be used in conjunction with STP? will the storm control feature work as intended?
