NAC ClearPass - user credentials expire in AD

    Hello, a question please.
When your user credentials expire in AD, your computer's NAC prompts you with a pop-up
password change. When trying to change it, it fails because there is no connectivity with the Domain Controller,
as the switch port stays in down state.
It is only solved by restarting the computer losing the information and that is if you are present,
because if you work remotely you can't.
    Any solution?
    Thank you very much.

So is this wired or VPN?  A couple of options here:
    1. Make your "default" action a role (or whatever enforcement your NAD supports) that still allows connectivity to AD.
    2. Switch to certificate based authentication
