    Dear Experts,

Going through the datasheet of 503 (not the H version but the latest R8M98A) i couldnt see much difference between 503 and 505 except antenna gain and operating temperatures.

Can someone highlight the major difference between the two and when to select 503 over 505? Requesting to please dont ask me to contact my SE, he is currently OOO and i have a quick customer query to respond to

Sure, here's a list of where the AP-503 makes compromises when compared with the AP-505:
    - Reduced CPU performance (quad ARM7 @ 1GHz instead of 1.5GHz)
    - No built-in BLE/Zigbee (use optional external dongle instead if needed)
    - No general-purpose USB host port (limited power, just enough to power the BLE/Zigbee dongle)
    - No DC power support (POE only)
    - No IPM or deep-sleep support
    - No FTM or Open Locate support
    - Max ambient temperature limited to +40C (instead of +50C)
    - No external/connectorized antenna support
    - No aesthetic snap-on cover
    - No Kensington lock
    - No plenum rating (UL2043)
    - No specific certs for deployment in medical environments (EN60601)
    - No railway transportation certs
    - No TAA/FIPS models
    - Not compatible with AP-5xx/6xx metal mount brackets

And the antenna gain is also less then 505 which means it will cover less area as compared to 505?

Not necessarily. The peak gain may not be in the plane that defines the coverage area.
Also, in the downlink direction, transmit power is typically limited (regulatory) in terms of EIRP power, which accounts for antenna gain, so unless the radio is allowed to transmit at the max capability of the hardware (21dBm plus antenna gain in case of AP-503/505), EIRP transmit levels will be the same.
In the uplink direction (AP receiver) you're right that a higher gain has benefits (again assuming that higher gain applies in the coverage plane), but a couple of dB will typically not have a significant impact.

Anyone know why whether we'll ever see a 600 version of these models?
