    Hi Guys,

    I need to recover password of HPE 5130 Comware switch within the IRF cluster. Can anyone suggest safest and easiest way to do that.

    P.S. Maybe it is good idea to shut down the secondary switch and work on the primary switch with password recovery. Also as the startup config maybe saved without secodary switch config setting when loaded after restart it is good to have display the startup before doing any modification and copy the configuration with the settings of the ports on the secondary switch to preserve it. When the configuration is saved with only one switch may load the config without settings for the missing switch as it is new boot without IRF.

    It is important to check the config before saving it and verify if the saved configuration has all interfaces from both devices.
    If not you can copy and then paste the config of the ports of the secondary switch when you rebuild the IRF.
    In any case you need the full configuration copy with both devices to restore if needed.
