Hi
Yup it only seems to be a feature of older phones , we have an estate across multiple sites same switch , same firmware same config and it's only 1 site having issues.
With a tagged/untagged setup the phone 1st stays on the untagged vlan, then 8 hours later resets and flips to the tagged vlan
Agree the 8 hours must be a phone thing
Investigations continue

Hi Alex.
This 8 hour reset window looks more like phone feature than switch/cppm issue.
Didn't see this behaviour on 2930 nor 2530 switches with polycom phones.
Best, Gorazd

Got a strange issue with polycom phones
cppm 6.11.8
2930 switch WC.16.11.13
Switch port voice vlan configured on vlan 8xx, data vlan on. vlan 2xx, switch port configured to have untagged vlan 2xx tagged vlan 8xx.
switch configured to use local and downoadable user roles. default user-role is called initial-role and is basically an allow all.
switch also configured for dot1x and mac auth
At the cppm end an auth is serviced by a service enabled to run in monitor mode....
..so at the switch end. you see DCA 5204 errors ( im expecting a DUR but you arent giving me anything.) which is correct,
Whe the phone 1st powers up its on the untagged vlan ... 8 hours later phone resets and ends up on the tagged vlan.
dhcp options on voice vlan ( 160and 161) used to configure phone when its on. vlan 8xxx
all network reauths are set to be 1 hour .. and in cppm i can see successful reauths every hour.
Switch authentication off for the phone switch ports and. stuff works
on the phone however we are still seeing resets evert 8 hours
Anyone else seen issues with polycom phones on user-role authenticated switch ports ?
