Is it possible to import APs, including their name and zone information before the AP is plugged in?

We are swapping out many hundred APs, and it would make life much easier to have the APs pre-programmed with this information so they are advertising the correct SSIDs.    Otherwise, we must wait until all APs are mounted in a building before we can import that information, leading to extended service interruptions.

It is possible to Zero-Touch Provision new Access Points using Aruba Activate.  You'll need to ensure that your APs have the ability to reach the Activate Servers and configure Activate Profiles so that APs can talk to the correct Conductor / Zone, etc.

It has been a while since I've looked into Aruba Activate - since prior to the move to HPE GreenLake, so I can't say much about the Zone provisioning or anything else for that matter; however, I was able to pre-provision APs (& RAPs) to provide appropriate service by using Activate prior.

    Best of luck,
