    Hi,

I would like to know if we can replace stack switches 2920 to 2930M . Do we have to start from start or we can replace one by one for the configuration base . Framwave and model are different.

No, you can't insert any 2930M/2930F switch on an existing 2920 Backplane Stack simply because 2930M/2930F switches do support VSF (Frontplane Stacking) only and they don't support Backplane Stacking and, vice-versa, the 2920 supports only Backplane Stacking and not VSF (Frontplane Stacking).

2930M (at least one of many models R0M67A) does have backplate physical stacking (not VSF)

Sorry, I erroneously considered Aruba 2930F (VSF) and Aruba 2930M (Backplane Staking) as they were equal WRT stacking capabilities (both supporting VSF)...wrong memories from a distant era...instead Aruba 2930 supports Backplane Stacking like Aruba 2920 BUT hardware stacking module it supports isn't the same supported by Aruba 2920 (stacking cables are the same thus are interoperable)...so, in the end, Aruba 2930M can't be merged into an existing Aruba 2920 backplane stack (despite stacking cables would you think it could because are identical) and, vice-versa, an Aruba 2920 can't be merged into an Aruba 2930M backplane stack.

The (general) rule is that to form a (Backplane/Frontplane) Stack same switch series must be used (no mix).
