Yes you should be able to pull out the old, and plug the new one in. Always create a backup of the server before replacing the drive though.

Subject: Replacing a hot swappable drive in a Clearpass C3000 appliance.
I have a Clearpass C3000 Appliance that needs to have one of the drives replaced. The C3000 is a HP Proliant server, not sure of the model.
This may be a dumb question but given that the replacement drive is exactly the same spec as the failing one this should simply be a matter of pulling out the bad drive and sliding the replacement in correct?
The drives are hot swappable so I assume that the new drive will automatically get rebuilt after it is installed.
Am I correct in this assumption?
Thanks in advance.
