    Hello.

I need to make 2 units of 5406 into a DHCP server after configuring VRRP.
I looked up the manual or example, but I couldn't find it.
    Please help me.

    The configuration is as follows.

    Switch#A

    vlan 2
    ip address : 192.168.2.2/24 vip : 1
    DNS : 8.8.8.8

    Switch#B

    vlan 2
    ip address : 192.168.2.3/24 vip : 1
    DNS : 8.8.8.8

    Thank you

    Hello.

Both issues seem unrelated to me. The VRRP takes care of presenting one IP address for routing, regardless which device does the actual routing. DHCP on the other hand listens for broadcasts, which both switches will receive. There are several scenarios possible with DHCP, and I am not sure if you can have both switches present themselves to the network as a virtual DHCP server, as you do with VRRP to present a virtual router.

Would it not make more sense to redirect DHCP packets to a 'real' DHCP server rather than have the switch perform this task?
