Hello everyone. I must had read wrong but according to the details of Self-Directed lab of Campus Access, the lab cost $100, and it took 4 hours to complete. Since it suggested that "each candidate purchase three 4-hour lab vouchers", are you telling me that once the lab is finished once, it is no longer opened forever, and I need to cough up $200 more to practice up to 3 times?

Not sure how this works maybe contact Aruba for more information.

If you have already some experience,  you can also learn Aruba-CX with the EVE-NG Network Simulator for this training.

    EVE-NG instructions here:

    Happy learning!

Cool, but what if I don't have real life experience?

Regardless, I got a reply from support and yes, $100 for 4 hours session. Ripoff.

So, either EVE-NG or GNS3 is the way to go. Said, is the AOS-CX Switch 10.07 the same thing? Are all AOS-CX a multilayer switch?

    Hi Noel-N,

When your are new to networking i can recommend the full 5-day onsite training (learn more and faster).

EVE-NG is very fun to test network setups and learn the CLI, good enough to learn ArubaCX and the first couple of Labs. But the training is also about airwave and aruba central. For Airwave you can install virtual on KVM or ESXi with 90days trail. For Aruba Central you need to buy some license if your no Aruba partner.

Not all Aruba-CX switches are multi-layer switches, but the Aruba-CX switch simulator is a datacenter multi-layer switch and support VSX configuration.

VSF stacking can't be done in the Aruba-CX switch simulator.

If you like to download the switch simulator i advise to use the latest one ( more features comes overtime and read the  caveats in the release notes.

EVE-NG and GNS3 are both possible as simultator platform, most Aruba folks use EVE.
