tvOS 16 and Airplay Stuttering

    Hello everyone,

    Has anyone else experienced an uptick in user complaints about AirPlay stuttering since tvOS 16 has been released? AirPlay is never perfect but a greater number of our teachers have been complaining about stuttering video playback in the past few weeks. The only changes made was an upgrade to tvOS 16 on all of our Apple TVs and an ArubaOS upgrade from 8.7.1.9 to 8.7.1.10.

    We have a 4th-gen or higher Apple TVs in each classroom, connected wirelessly. Each faculty member has a 2017 or newer MacBook Air. Each classroom has an AP-315 installed. Each Apple TV is rebooted every morning at 1:00AM.

    Hi Nathan,

    Were you able to find a solution to this issue ??

    One of my clients has a similar issue with the stuttering and it seems to have happened ever since the Apple TV's were upgraded to tvOS 16.

    The Apple TV's are 4th Gen and Higher and the AP's are AP-315

    The only "solution" that seems to work is to hardwire the Apple TVs. Most of ours are wireless. Please note, that I did not open a case with Aruba as we just don't have the time at the moment to commit to hours of troubleshooting. It's not something that can be replicated easily on demand.
