Subject: Viewing Configbackup-Files of Aruba CX 6000
Hi there,
I´m new to the CX-Series switches and need some advice please.
What is the best way to view configbackup-Files of CX6000 Series switches?
On the older Series (2530, 2920, etc.) we used a simple notepad to view the configuration files. We used this files as a part of our documentation and in case a switch was not able to boot anymore, we were able to set up a new switch from a different series by configuring it by hand along to the existing backup-file.
Or is this no longer best practice? I heard of the AOS-CX Switch simulator? Is this simulator able to emulate the web-GUI of a switch? So we could load config-files into this simulator...? Or is there a (free) management software (not cloud based) to manage CX switches and view configurations of offline devices?
kind regards
Sebastian
