    Hi there,

have an issue where devices in one building cannot connect to some APs using 5GHz, even though we are broadcasting both 2.4 and 5GHz .

There is a mixture of AP 615 and 635 throughout the environment. The 9200 controllers are running 8.11.0.1

In this building, none of the clients can connect using 5Ghz, only 2.4GHz. Some of these devices are hardcoded to use 5Ghz only, so they cannot connect to the corporate SSID.

The majority of devices do connect at 5GHz and all APs on the site are using the same AP Group "xxxx" which is broadcasting 2.4 and 5Ghz. So this particular building has a configuration that should be broadcasting both 2.4 and 5GHz but is not.

Are there any specific changes I can make on the Conductor to the APs 2.4 or 5GHz radio settings, or are there any settings that need to be enabled?

Could something else be causing this happen?

    Many thanks

    Paul B

Have you validated that all of the 615 are running in 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz mode?  Locations where your 5 GHz isn't operating, have you looked at the bss-table for the APs in the area to see what is being broadcast?

8.11.0.1 is relatively old and early in the 8.11 train, would recommend upgrading to either the latest 8.11 or moving to 8.12 as support for 8.11 will be ending soon.
