Introduction : This article talks about adding a SMTP host to CPPM insight to make it send out reports as emails.
Environment : This article works best with CPPM 6.2 and above.
Configuration Steps : Login to Insight module and navigate to "Administration" tab and enter the details here.We can also leave the Username and Password field blank if the SMTP server does not requires it.If we want to use a Gmail account for sending email, below is the step.Gmail SMTP server address: smtp.gmail.comGmail SMTP user name: Your full Gmail address (e.g. example@gmail.com)Gmail SMTP password: Your Gmail passwordGmail SMTP port: 465Gmail SMTP TLS/SSL required: yesNOTE: It is required to configure the SMTP server on insight to receive reports as emails from It. Adding SMTP on the CPPM only is does not send out emails from insight because we have different database for each them.
