SMS gateway error EOF occurred in violation of protocol

Environment Information : Amigopod 3.9 or Clearpass 6.x using http proxy to connect to internet

 

Symptoms : While sending test SMS, we get the following error in GUI:

EOF occurred in violation of protocol        [CURLE56] HTTP transfer failed: error 56 (The requested URL returned error: 407)

 

Cause : This means that amigopod / clearpass is unable to authenticate to the http proxy and clearpass is unable to send the http request to SMS gateway.

 

Resolution : Verify the http proxy settings on amigopod / clearpass and use username and password for authentication if the proxy requires it
