"mips64.ari" Retry count exceeded on AP125

Hi Guys,
i have installed a new controller 3200 series con Aruba OS 6.0.
When AP try to connect to controller by resolving the name aruba-master.domain.com ( the AP resolved succesfully the name of controller ) the AP continue to reboot with error:

Filename 'mips64.ari'.
Load address: 0x1600000
Loading: T T T T T T T T T T
Retry count exceeded; starting again.

I have succesfully configure the Controller using the wizard in modality remote AP.
Can I solve this problem ?

Many thanks

What are you trying to do?

The access point you are showing, does not have a base image on it, and seems to be new. Boot it up as a regular campus access point to a controller so that it can get a base image.

Hi Cjoseph, thanks for you reply.
I try to create a hotspot cloud using the AP in modality split tunnel with RAP.
So from what I say every AP must first be activated locally?

The RAP2 and RAP5 do NOT, but all of the other APs need to first boot to a controller internally to get a base image, before you can provision them.

Hi,

We downgraded our AP 124 boot image. We want to go back to the original AP Boot Image I think it's mips64.ari. Where can I get this boot image? And how can we uppgrade the AP's boot image? Thanks.

Type "clear os" at the apboot> prompt.

When I type that would the AP automatically get the latest boot image from the controller? We are using 6.1 on the controller. We downgraded from a APboot version 1.0.8.x to 1.0.0.9 and would like to go back to the original APboot version. Thanks

Basically we would like the AP to have thesame boot image version it had when we purchased it. Is there a way to do this?

That file is obtained from the OS that the controller is running. You would have to downgrade the controller to whatever you were running at the time.
