Aruba Central account and IAP Activation key

Got my Aruba Central account, very exciting.

1. Doesn't discover my devices (which I expected)

2. It says to log into my IAP cluster and goto Maintenance Tab and find the Cloud activation key

This key does not seem to exist. I assume the devices are supposed to be registered somehow?

My IAP is in activate but nowhere do I see a cloud activation key

I'd like to add an IAP to this beautiful product.

What version of IAP SW are you running? The minimum is v.6.2.1.0-3.3.0.3.   Here is a screen capture of my IAP running the recent v.3.4.

Re: Aruba Central account and IAP Activation key

I have the same question.  I'm running FW 6.2.1.0-3.4.0.1_39461 and don't see where to add my cloud key to the site so it's seen.

Click the "Where are my devices" link and it will ask you to enter the keys manually.

Any who, I add my cloud code and mac add of the VC in both : delimited and non delimited.  I get failed to add the device.

Re: Aruba Central account and IAP Activation key

Running 3.4.0.2

I don't see it.

I just found out the possible reason why I don't see it is because my RAP-109 are beta units and the serial number is only 3 digits.

Logged into another one of my IAP clusters and I have the validation key.

Re: Aruba Central account and IAP Activation key

Hi there

We are noticing some sync issues in our backend that is causing this for some of our users. We are actively working on this. We expect that this should work in the next 2-3 hours.. I will send an update on this forum as soon as this is available.

Thanks

Re: Aruba Central account and IAP Activation key

Hello All,

If you do not have the MAC address of your IAP handy, here is an easy way to pull this from the IAP UI.

Step 1: Click on More -> Support

Step 2: Pick a ‘Target AP’

Step 3: Select Command ‘AP Datapath Bridge Table’

Step 4: Pick the MAC address that has destination ‘Local’

The MAC address along with the cloud activation key will enable you to add your device to Aruba Central

Typically users will not have to manually add devices. We will populate the list of APs automatically based on the customers purchase history.
