Aruba switch, certain clients frequently get disconnected
Aruba switch, certain clients frequently get disconnected
03-15-2017 10:16 PM
Hello all,
We are switching out all our Cisco switches and we've been running into problems that have baffled us (we are all new to Aruba). Here is just one of them.
On one of our switches, everything is working well, except three clients that seem to get disconnected randomly and frequently. The only change to the network that we've made has been putting in Aruba switches, so we are starting here first. One client is connected directly to the switch, one is connected wirelessly via a Cisco AP that is connected to the switch, and the other is connected to a Cisco edge switch that is connected to the Aruba switch. Totally random. Is this an IP conflict or something that can be remedied on the Aruba switch? If I have to, I'll whip out wireshark, but perhaps someone here has any ideas. I am not at the office, but I can post running configs if needed.

This is a wired switch, two 2920s and a 2530 in the core closet. We have Cisco access points connected the switch. The edge closets right now are on Cisco switches, and if we can get the core switch working right, we will be moving the rest to Aruba. There are a total of 15 switches and we have 6 buildings we would like to get moved over to Aruba, but only if we iron out the kinks in this first building.
I have attached the running-config.

This is a wild guess, but you can try manually changing NIC card speed on the client's side from AUTO to your switch port's speed.

Coul you share some more information on the issue?
what do you mean by frequent dislconnection?
Wired clients: are they connected to PoE ports?
How these clients derive IP? Did you check the DHCP lease time?
