Product and Software: This article applies to all Aruba controllers and ArubaOS 3.x-rn.
Currently, 802.1X authentication on the wired port of a remote access point (RAP) works only in tunnel mode.
Therefore, when using split-tunneling or bridging for your wired profiles, 802.1X authentication does not work unless it is using a pre-shared key.
Wireless 802.1X still works in enterprise or personal configurations.
However, on ArubaOS 5.0 and later, 802.1x is supported on tunnel, split-tunnel, and bridge mode.
