Question How is the size of Explicit Transmit Beamforming report determined in 802.11ac?
Environment 802.11ac deployment where AP and client support Transmit Beamforming.

 

 

The size of the Beforming report sent back by a beamformee to the AP depends on 3 important factors:

  1. Single user or Muti-user
  2. Angels for number of spatial streams
  3. Channel bandwidth (Number of subcarriers)

Base on these parameters, the report can vary from 130 Bytes to even 27KB.
