How to disable and enable audit-trail on controller

Environment         This applies to all controller model and AOS versions.

 

In controller we do have an option to disable "audit-trail".

Below is the command to disable the same.

(Aruba3400) (config) #interface gigabitethernet 1/0 no trusted
(Aruba3400) (config) #write memory
Saving Configuration...

Configuration Saved.

(Aruba3400) (config) #show audit-trail 5

Aug 15 13:42:26  cli[1507]: USER:admin@10.20.25.33 COMMAND:<interface gigabitethernet "1/0" no trusted > -- command executed successfully
Aug 15 13:42:30  cli[1507]: USER:admin@10.20.25.33 COMMAND:<write memory > -- command executed successfully

(Aruba3400) (config) #no audit-trail  ====> This will disable audit-trail
(Aruba3400) (config) #write memory
Saving Configuration...

Configuration Saved.

(Aruba3400) (config) #interface gigabitethernet 1/0 trusted
(Aruba3400) (config) #write memory
Saving Configuration...

Configuration Saved.

(Aruba3400) (config) #show  audit-trail 5

Aug 15 13:42:26  cli[1507]: USER:admin@10.20.25.33 COMMAND:<interface gigabitethernet "1/0" no trusted > -- command executed successfully
Aug 15 13:42:30  cli[1507]: USER:admin@10.20.25.33 COMMAND:<write memory > -- command executed successfully

(Aruba3400) (config) #audit-trail  ====> This will enable audit-trail
(Aruba3400) (config) #write memory

Configuration Saved.

(Aruba3400) (config) #interface gigabitethernet 1/0 no trusted
(Aruba3400) (config) #write memory
Saving Configuration...

Configuration Saved.

(Aruba3400) (config) #show audit-trail 10
