A:
How to know the common name of the certificate that is mapped in a Controller?

After the redirection and before HTTP Post, the Guest user does a DNS request based on the common name of the certificate that is mapped on the Controller

Thus in order to know the actual common name, we can use the below command:-

"show  datapath fqdn"

Example
=======

(Master-Controller) #show  datapath fqdn

Datapath FQDN Entries
---------------------
cp.aos-lab.com <<<<< Common Name of the Certificate that is mapped on the Controller

Master-Controller

If you had to change the DataPath FQDN because it had underscores, how would you do that?

Public certs do now allow underscores so I need to change it to a dash. I have updated the FQDN in internal DNS and updated the hostname with no change.

The name for the captive portal certificate should not be in DNS. The redirect URL FQDN will be updated based on the certificate assigned as the captive portal certificate.
