How to validate on the Aruba Controller if a USB Beacon is connected to an AP-22X?
Q:

How to validate on the Aruba controller if a USB Beacon is connected to an AP-22X?

A:

Use the below command:-

"show ap debug usb ap-name <Name-of-AP>"

If the USB Beacon is connected we would see the below output

(Controller) #show ap debug usb ap-name <Name-of-AP>

USB Information
---------------
Parameter Value
--------- -----
Manufacturer Texas
Product TI
Serial Number 53556544727953397953
Driver cdc_acm
Vendor ID 0451
Product ID 16aa

(Controller) #

However, if no USB Beacon is connected to the AP, we would see the below output:-

(Controller) #show ap debug usb ap-name <Name-of-AP>

USB Information
---------------
Parameter Value
--------- -----
USB Modem State Not Plugged
