SNMP mapping for 40MHZ & 80 MHZ channels

Oct 03, 2017 10:44 AM

Q:

How are the SNMP results derived for 40 MHz  & 80 MHZ channels ?

A:

The values obtained via SNMP for 40MHz channels is calculated based on the following logic:

a) if the channel is represented as x+ (eg. 36+), the number seen in SNMP is 256 + x (256 + 36 = 292).

b) If the channel is represented as y- (eg. 40-), the number seen in SNMP is 768 + y (768 + 40 = 808).

40 MHz channel Representation in SNMP   40 MHz channel Representation in SNMP
36+ 292   40- 808
40+ 296   44- 812
44+ 300   48- 816
48+ 304   52- 820
52+ 308   56- 824
56+ 312   60- 828
60+ 316   64- 832
64+ 320   104- 872
100+ 356   108- 876
104+ 360   112- 880
108+ 364   116- 884
112+ 368   120- 888
116+ 372   124- 892
120+ 376   128- 896
124+ 380   132- 900
128+ 384   136- 904
132+ 388   140- 908
136+ 392   144- 912
140+ 396   149- 917
144+ 400   153- 921
149+ 405   157- 925
153+ 409   161- 929
157+ 413

If it’s an 80 MHz channel, then 1024 needs to be added to the channel to get the number seen in SNMP.
