TFTP Server or Server IP configuration for IPv6 deployment to download AP image.

Q:

TFTP Server or Server IP configuration for IPv6 deployment to download AP image.

A:

Prior to 8.1 release, "server-ip" was accepted only for IPv4 address. This prevented IPv6 APs to download image from IPv6 servers. With new feature release in 8.1 AOS version, "server-ip" now accepts IPv6 address as well. This can be configured from both Web UI and CLI.

CLI Configuration on the Controller:

(ArubaMM) [mynode] (config) #provision-ap
(ArubaMM) [mynode] (config-submode)#read-bootinfo ap-name ac:a3:1e:c4:fb:98
(ArubaMM) [mynode] (config-submode)#server-ip
<server-ip> The IP address of the switch containing the AP image
(ArubaMM) [mynode] (config-submode)#server-ip 1234:abcd:4567:abcd::100
(ArubaMM) [mynode] (config-submode)#reprovision ap-name ac:a3:1e:c4:fb:98
(ArubaMM) [mynode] (config-submode)#end
