Q:

What are the options available on Direct access to Managed controllers in 8.x MM architecture ?

A:

In 8.x mobility master architecture , we manage/monitor all the managed controllers in Mobility master.
You can configure WLANs or other profiles on the highest level of the hierarchy (md) in mobility master and they will be applied to all managed controllers. You can also do this on a per group basis and only controllers in that group will receive the configuration.

However for certain options we need direct access to Managed controllers. Below are the options available in a managed controller UI

1: Dashboard : Provides visibility into wireless network performance and usage within the Managed controller. This can be viewed from Mobility master too.

2: Configuration : A read-only type of view of your configuration. All configurations are pushed from Mobility master

3: Diagnostic :

A: Tools : We can perform ping , traceroute , tracepath and aaa server test here
B: Logs : View various logs ,enable AP and user debug and view audit messages
c: Access Point : View AP details, system status , debug logs and statistics
D:Technical support : Copy logs and files , download logs and crash , configure TAC server , run reports , SSH access

4: Maintenance :

A: Software Management : Firmware upgrade ,controller reboot and setting boot parameters
B: Configuration management : Creating backup , restoring backup and clearing configuration
