What is the default transmit power for mesh nodes?

Jul 09, 2014 07:03 PM

Product and Software: This article applies to ArubaOS 3.2.x and later.

By default, the transmit power for mesh nodes is set to maximum, which is 30 dBm. This default is different from the default transmit power for virtual AP, which is 15 dBm.

If you have two mesh APs in a very short distance, you may want to reduce the transmit power so that the RF receiver on its mesh peer is not saturated. You can change the transmit power in mesh-radio-profile.

#show ap mesh-radio-profile default
