Controller Based WLANs

Question:  What question should we ask when a customer has deployed access points above the ceiling line that is out of site?

1)     Please verify that the APs are deployed in the correct location to insure proper coverage.
2)     Please verify that antennas are extended into the proper position.
3)     Please avoid mounting APs about the duct work and on inside walls.   When we deploy access points on the inside wall, we can produce improper signal coverage around corners.
4)     The ceiling tiles can present a barrier.   Customers in certain applications are using ceiling tiles with a metal backing.   These tiles were found to block radio coverage.

Enclosed are some sample pictures where the contractor mounted the access points about the duct work and in certain areas, the ceiling tiles was blocking RF coverage.
