Configurable banner motd for Instant Access Points

Requirement:

WLAN admin(s) might wish have to some sort of welcome message printed using banner motd, that could be related to their company policy or security warnings or regarding the instant network while logging into SSH or telnet.



Solution:

Starting 4.3 instant version, banner mtod support has been included for WLAN admin to write any kind of welcome message while logging into IAP's CLI using SSH or telnet.



Configuration:

Banner motd configuration supports maximum of 16 line and each line in the banner message should not exceed 255 characters. Currently it can be configured only from CLI.

 



Verification

Executing show banner from privilege mode will print the configured message.
