How do I configure a firewall policy on the uplink port of an Aruba Instant AP?

Jul 02, 2014 07:55 PM

This article contains:

1. Need for firewall on IAP's uplink
2. Firewall configuration on IAP uplink

This is a new feature added in OS version 6.2.0.0_3.2.0. Codes prior to this does not have this feature supported.

Firewall policies can now be added to the enet0 port of the IAP. With this feature RAP-NG can now be directly connected to the internet. The firewall policies will ensure any unauthorized access to the AP is denied. We can customize the access rules in the firewall as per the requirement as shown in the configuration below.

Environment : This article applies to all the IAPs running 6.2.0.0_3.2.0.

1. Navigate to "Wired" on the top right of the WebUI and create a new Wired profile. Go to Access and create a new Access Rule
