    Any news on this subject?

We have just connected a Sharp MX5141N with build in AirPrint service, and are expiriencing the same issue.

The printer service precents itself for about 10 minutes and the dissapears untill the printer is rebootet.

I have checked if there are any way to make the printer re-present itself again via mdns, but it seams that there are no settings for this :-(

Is the printer and printer users on the same subnet?

You should make sure that "drop broadcast and multicast" is not enabled and "deny inter-user bridging" is not enabled.

    Yeah, already did that.

The problem is as described earlier in this thread, that the printer presents itself via mdns and are discovered by AirGroup and stored in the AirGroup cache. While it is still in the cache, AirPrint works as it should. But after a while, the cache expires, and then AirPrint stops working for the iOS devises connected through Aruba IAP's.

And it would seam that the only way of getting the service back up and running, is by restarting the printer.

But yes, I made sure that packed filtering are disabled for the ssid, and AirGroup is enabled for AirPrint service. "deny-inter-user bridging" is also disabled. And as said before the whole thing works for about 15-20 minutes.

This thread was for an ArubaOS version that was released years ago.  Which version are you running and did you open a TAC case?

    We are running 6.4.2.6-4.1.1.10_51810

Tried to open a TAC case, but was redirected back to our seller, since we apparently only had partner support on our devices.

Our seller have not been able to help us yet.

Allright.  Have you tried plugging in the printer wired on that subnet instead?  Many wireless printers go to sleep and transmit nothing.  If Airgroup does not see that printer advertising itself, it will take it out of the table.

Your option could be to disable airgroup in your IAP and make sure "Broadcast Filtering" is set to "None" on your SSID, so that the client will be able to naturally send out a discovery to that printer and receive a geniune response.  See if the printer lasts longer than 10 minutes with that setup.
