    Hi All,

I have recently upgraded our firmware to version 6.2.1.0-3.4.0.3_40346 but on a few of the Virtual Controllers i can see clients getting DHCP Timeout's, this has not happened on all VC but one in particular.

Any Suggestions on what i can do to resolve this?

    Many Thanks

    Nisha

Are you using VC based DHCP (rather than network)? I assume so?

What I would do first, is just check you're not running out of addresses? I'm not aware of a way of doing this on the IAP VC GUI, but if you SSH/Telnet to the VC, you can do "show dhcp-allocation". You'll need to count the entries I'm afriad!

    Thanks.

I have done a show dhcp allocation via ssh to the VC, we have a /23 subnet so are cablet of aound 510 hosts and we only have 130 clients connected at any given time?

    any further suggestions?

    Thanks

    A couple of thoughts...

Did you go for this version/upgrade for a specific reason? There's a 3.4.0.4 and a v4 available now?

Nothing I can see in the release notes suggests a specific fix, but it might be worth considering the newer ones?

Other than that, I'd think you'd want to be in front of the client to debug it, as the IAP debugging is a bit limited.

Other than that, perhaps try a reboot?

I went for this firmware version because it supports 802.11ac.. is there a newer firmware version?
i have tried rebooting a couple of times but i am still seeing a few DHCP timeouts.
